Eight Super Foods for Achieving A Better Health

Are you interested in achieving good health? Well, you can start by adding more of these super foods in your daily diet. They will provide more vitamins, fiber and essential minerals to your body which are more nutritious than if you take them in a pill form. It will also improve your digestion and your body will surely say thanks to you!

You must however keep in mind that these super foods are essential in your daily diet but eating just these only will not supply your body all the essential minerals and vitamins. Try adding 4-5 super foods in your daily menu for helping your body in fighting diseases. Here is a detailed list of 8 super foods:

1. Butternut Squash

This is mostly eaten in summer months when it is grown and is rich source of vitamin C and A apart from being high on fiber.

2. Sweet Potatoes

These are not just eaten on the thanks giving, these are really one of the nutritious vegetables you can eat. They are full of vitamin C, carotenoids, fiber and potassium.

3. Spinach and Kale

You should increase your daily vegetable intake with these leafy green varieties. They both are full of vitamin C, A and K, potassium, folate, iron, magnesium and the phytochemicals.

4. Citrus fruits

They come in all the shapes, sizes and colors: limes, lemons, grapefruit, Clementine, kumquat, tangelo, oranges and Minneola. They are very rich in Vitamin C, fiber and folic acid.

5. Skimmed milk

This is an excellent source of protein, calcium and vitamins.

6. Broccoli

Broccoli can be eaten cooked or raw and is full of carotenoids, folic acid and vitamin C.

7. Grape Tomatoes

These are small size tomatoes and are perfect as snacks. They are rich in phytochemicals, vitamin C & A and fiber.

8. Brown rice

This is a regular brown rice which can be easily cooked. It has good fiber, vitamin e, magnesium, zinc, copper and B6.
