Energy Drink Reviews - Understanding Energy Drinks and Their Benefits

By J Yeomans

I've been researching the different types of energy drinks on the market carefully to try to understand which one is the best between Monster, Red Bull, Rock Star, and Crave Energy. The primary energy vitamins available in these drinks include vitamin b12 and vitamin b6 to name a couple. The marketing of these products tends to be directed a younger people but many people over the age of 35 are using these products every day.

Almost all of these drinks contain caffeine but not all of them include a large amount of sugar which can cause a crash following their use. My research found that many of these drinks claim to be the top energy supplement but I have found that they all solve the need for sustained energy for up to 5 hours or more. Many of them are promoted by celebrates but that does not mean they are the best tasting or provide the most sustained energy.

We all need sustained energy when we are working, driving and just having fun but most people do not like the energy crash that occurs with a few of the sugar filled drinks. It is really hard to find boost energy without caffeine and it is difficult to get any sports nutrition vitamins out of many of these drinks and it best to stick with protein drinks shakes.

If you are looking for diet energy supplements it is best to stay away from high sugar energy drinks. Many of them are nutritional drinks because of added vitamins to enable them to be in the health zone of the local markets. Some men even say that these drinks may help energize your sex life, which would be interesting if proven.

The cost of many of these drinks can run into the $1.50 to $3 per serving depending upon the brand. Some energy drinks come in powder form for easy transportation and can be easily mixed with water or juice as desired, which makes them very convenient for hiking and other outdoor activities. I have found that most of them taste great but some do have an after taste which you may want to consider.

My research into vitamin energy drinks has determined that the best ones contain caffeine in small amounts and are low in sugar but high in vitamin b12. This combination tends to provide the best sustained energy without the crash that occurs with the high sugar brands. So read the labels and stay away from the high sugar energy drinks.
