There are numerous diet programs offered these days and each one of the claims to be the best. Unfortunately we get so caught up with these diets that we fail to realize that sometimes the best things in life are the ones that have been around the longest. Have you thought about our ancestors? About what they ate? How they survived? What diet they followed? Well, today the diet of our ancestors is referred to as the Palaeolithic diet and it's popularity is growing. People who conform to this diet reflect the ancient paleo menu of the early humans. This menu is composed of all-natural foods such as lean meats, chicken, seafood, fruits, fresh vegetables and healthy fats.
The Paleolithic diet boasts a lot of effects. A lot of individuals have confirmed that they have experienced weight reduction, increased resistance to illness and enhancement in digestion, higher energy levels and more controlled blood sugar. According to the theory of this diet, Once our body is free from foods that we haven't adjusted to eating for example grains, dairy products, sugar, and chemically processed foods, we will feel and become considerably healthier. Diseases like cancer, diabetes and weight problems are caused by the consumption of food that all of us are not genetically designed to eat. These ailments were seen only a hundred years ago. The caveman didn't have to worry about such issues because his menu didn't involve unsafe foods.
If you do make your mind up to adhere to a paleo menu, ensure that you are ready to give up on processed and packaged foods in exchange of all-natural diet. Keep in mind that your meals will mostly consist of meat, cooked green vegetables (potatoes out) and a salad. You will be eating considerably less that normal but don't worry if you think you will feel hungry all the time because these meals will fill you up. For snacks you can sustain yourself with fruits, berries of all shapes and sizes, and seeds and nuts. You can even make a quick paleo drink by coupling almond or coconut milk merged with fruits or berries of your choice in a blender. Adding nut butters like cashews can be quite flavorful for your drink.
Using resources from the comfort of your home is the most effortless way to religiously conform to the Paleo food regimen, but what about when you eat out? The problem most people face is when eating out, restaurant menus don't usually include paleo friendly meals. If this is the case, you can choose to order non breaded plain meat and some vegetable side dishes coupled with some fruits. Also, keeping some snacks in your purse or backpack can be a life saver when facing these situations.
Trying something new can be challenging especially when it comes to your food regimen, but as soon as your body gets acquainted to the paleo diet, the regimen will be much less complicated.
